Our best wishes to Katie for a full recovery from all at Beech Grove High School. I had the pleasure of reporting on HS basketball for a Southside Indianapolis weekly. She is admired here for sticking with BGHS, developing her skills and being a role model for younger students and future Hornets athletes. Her determination to win still sets the standard for her teammates and those who see her compete in the WNBA.

This just goes to show what happens when I go away for vacation! Best wishes to a speedy recovery. Katie is my absolute favorite player. Games wont be the same with her on the bench. I did laugh pretty hard when I saw her in the skirt and fancy top. She belongs in our jersey and shorts! We need you back Katie!

Katie happens to be a favorite of my 9 year old daughter. I asked my daughter why she chose Katie, and she simply said “because she’s awesome!”. This just goes to show how much of an inspiration Katie has been to this team whether she gets playing time or not. I hope Coach Agler decides to change up a little bit when Playoffs start and give Katie the time she deserves. We’re behind her no mater what. Hang in there KG!

I saw Katie get an injury in a High School game. She was pulled out and we thought it would be for the rest game. But after awhile, Katie beg to be put back in the game. We won.
