Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Famer Nancy Lieberman
, who has spent the week in Seattle, stopped by the Storm offices Thursday. I had a chance to chat with her and used the opportunity to get Lieberman’s perspective on National Girls and Women in Sports Day, which was celebrated yesterday. Lieberman spoke about the humble beginnings of her playing career, her experience as president of the Women’s Sports Foundation (a member of the National Girls and Women in Sports Day coalition) and the importance to today’s players of remembering the game’s history.
