You may remember Sonics rookie Kevin Durant attending a Storm game this summer while he was in Seattle this summer working out before the NBA Draft. What I didn’t realize, until he mentioned it the other day, was that Durant had taken in the Washington Mystics in his native D.C.
The Sonics are playing in Washington Sunday, and Durant was asked about the experience of playing at the Verizon Center.
“I always used to go watch games all the time, back when they were the Bullets,” he said. “I’d go to Mystics games.”
